SJVRP Outdoor Precision Pistol League/Training 2022

This year the league will be encouraging both new/old shooters to join us for precision pistol shooting.  If you are a new gun owner and would like to learn how to shoot safely and more accurately, we can help you.  We will have experienced shooters as coaches/mentors to help new shooters learn to competently handle their firearms.  Most importantly, the goal is to be safe and have fun!

There will be a prize table at the end of the season.  The table will have gift cards from a variety of stores and restaurants.  To be eligible for the prizes, a shooter must join the league and participate in at least one match.

Dates: Tuesdays beginning April 19th, 2022-September 13th, 2022 (No matches July 5th or July 12th)

Start Time: 1st Relay begins at 6:30pm

League Fee: $125 for the entire league or $5/first gun $2.50/each additional gun

Prizes: There is going to be a prize table at the end of the league.  The table will have prizes consisting of 60% of the league fee income.

Eligibility for Prizes: Shooters must pay the league fee and participate in at least one match. For each match fired a participant will put one ticket into the drawing barrel.  Each participant will have the opportunity to shoot 3 matches per night.

There is no additional cost to participate in the team match.

Preparation Time All prone events are preceded by a 5-minute Pre-Preparation Time before first stages or a 2-minute Pre-Preparation Time before second stages. These are followed by 3-minute preparation periods (Rule 6.4.3).

Eligibility The 2022 Indiana State Smallbore Championship is a CMP-sanctioned event that is being conducted in cooperation with the Indiana State Rifle & Pistol Association (ISRPA). According to CMP rule 3.6f, Classification reciprocity is recognized for individuals having NRA or USA Shooting Classifications; however, competitors must have a CMP Competition Tracking Number (CT#). This is readily achieved online without charge but must be completed prior to registration. Reference is made to the CMP website at https://thecmp.org/ to register for a CT Number.

The purpose of scoring challenges is to correct errors, not to rescore shots that have already been scored with an approved means of scoring (Rule 8.1.2). Shot value protests may only be made on shots whose values were decided without using a scoring gauge or scoring template (Rule 8.2.1). Shots whose values were decided with a scoring gauge or template cannot be challenged, unless there is a recording, tabulation, or other obvious error (Rule 8.2.2). A $3.00 challenge fee will be assessed for each challenge. The fee will be returned if the challenge is upheld.
